Museum for Brokenhearted Beijingers Opens Its Doors

Beijing is home to its fair share of quirky museums. To be honest, it’s one of the things we appreciate about this city.

To add to the capital’s collection of fun and weird things to do, a museum for brokenhearted Beijingers just opened its doors in Songzhuang, an artist community located in eastern Beijing, Global Times reports.

So, you know, if you’ve recently been dumped or cheated on or you just have no luck in love, then perhaps the new Lovelorn Museum is for you.

The museum is the brainchild of Wang Ying and her partner. Starting in 2015, the two started compiling trinkets, photos and other memorabilia from their past relationships. The two-level museum is filled with objects from teddy bears to love letters and photos to household items. The space features mementos from over 100 relationships and highlights 100 breakup stories.

This isn’t actually the first museum of its kind. Museums for broken relationships have opened in Los Angeles and Zagreb, and both have created quite a lot of buzz.
