Beijing's favorite black-tie boxing event, Brawl on The Wall, is back for yet another bout of fighting at the Park Hyatt Beijing on April 29. 

The 2017 Brawl on the Wall is shaping up to be yet another smash hit. Over 500 people are expected to attend the black-tie boxing extravaganza and look on as nine pairs of 'white collar' boxers go head to head. All fighters have undergone intensive training over the past three months. And they'll be ready to show what they've got on April 29.

Leading up to the big night we will be posting interviews with the boxers. From the eighth bout, Justen "Grim Reaper" Keefer and Zhang Nan took the time to answer some questions:

Zhang Nan

Nationality: Chinese

Age: 32

Weight: 80kg

What made you decide to fight?: I like boxing. 

Job title: Manager Assistant.

If you could fight anyone, dead or alive, who would it be? Tyson.

What's been the most difficult challenge for you since you started training? To use the technique during actual combat. 

What positive changes have you seen in yourself since you started training? Insistence.

Describe a memorable experience from your training. First time in actual combat.

Favorite boxer. Tyson.

Favorite fight ever? Actual combat with MMA professional athletes, the Yao Honggang brothers. 

Advice for people who are thinking of participating in next year's Brawl on the Wall. Come on! You can do it!

Justen Michael Keefer

Nationality: USA

Age: 23

Weight: 79kg

Favorite quote: "Easy work."

What made you decide to fight?: I live boxing.

If you could fight anyone, dead or alive, who would it be? Manny Pacquiao.

What's been the most difficult challenge for you since you started training? Finding a challenge.

Describe a memorable experience from your training. Sparring.

Favorite boxer. Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao.

Advice for people who are thinking of participating in next year's Brawl on the Wall. Everything is easy work if you want it to be.


Tickets for Brawl on the Wall

All tickets include a four-course meal, free-flow wine, beer, cocktails and soft drinks. Each table sits 10 people, with Silver tables going for RMB8,000, Gold tables for RMB11,000 and Ringside tables (which come with four bottles of sparkling wine/Champagne) for RMB15,000.
