UPDATED: The Beijing 2017 Mega New Year's Party Guide

By That's Beijing, December 16, 2016

2 0

The year is rapidly coming to an end. And as we stated in our December issue we’re kind of glad to leave 2016 behind and start anew. From Trump to Brexit, 2016 was a strange year. But it's almost over, and luckily there are a ton of parties going on in Beijing this New Year’s Eve – so we can bid ado to 2016 on high note. Wherever you end up ringing in 2017, let’s all make sure to raise a glass of bubbly and toast to a new (and hopefully better) year. Oh and if you're looking to splurge on a special dinner before partying the night away, check out our guide to Beijing's best New Year's feasts

The Migas Soundsystem x Club Paradise

Migas is known for their epic New Year’s Eve parties and this one’s going to be no different… because legendary DJ Spinna will be on the decks. He’ll no doubt keep the party going all night long. But wait, there’s more. Migas will have a whole other party room dedicated to all things Club Paradise. Get ready to dance 2016 away.

Sat Dec 31, 9pm-4.30am; RMB120-RMB160 (includes one glass of sparkling wine), get presale tickets here. The Bar at Migas

New Year's Eve Party with Stevie Mac and The Mac Daddies

Stevie Mac and The Mac Daddies will be bringing the Home Plate house down. There will be great music, good times and a complimentary Champagne toast at midnight.

Sat Dec 31 10.30pm-1.30am; Home Plate BBQ (Sanlitun).

Down to the Speakeasy Basement Party

Modernista will be throwing an epic speakeasy basement party. As they say “expect art deco class and sweet cocktails by the bucketloads.” Sounds good to us.

Sat Dec 31, 10pm-6am; Modernista.

Back to the Future NYE Party @ Parlor

Head over to Parlor for a night of funk, disco and hip-hop with DJ BB Deng. This party's all about embracing the future so the dresscode is "neon futuristic." If you ask us, you should go all out with your outfits because there's going to be a whole neon lazer jungle (their words, not ours) set up. It's gonna be wild.

Sat Dec 31, 10pm-late. RMB100; Parlor.

ORGANIC New Year's Eve

ORGANIC is back with an extra-special New Year's party at Dada. As always the night is all about exploring the deepness, soulfulness and exquisiteness rooted within House and Techno music by combining sound, light and lots and lots of plants. OOPS2, Ludo V, Tanner and That's Beijing's very own Juhstynn will be keeping the party strong until sunrise.

Sat Dec 31. Free entry, Dada.

NYE Countdown @ Xian

Xian will be offering two killer free-flow package deals for their New Year’s Eve party. Packages go for RMB388 or RMB588 and are full of sparkling wine, cocktails, sodas and all sorts of fancy beverages. The booze will be flowing, the music bumping. Plus, there will be bubble dancers. What better way to ring in 2017 than will some bubbly and bubble dancers?

Sat Dec 31, 9pm-late. RMB100 (entrance) + RMB388/RMB588 for free-flow packages. Xian - EAST, see event listing

Slow Boat Sanlitun Brewpub New Year Party

Head over to Slow Boat’s Sanlitun Brewpub and usher in 2017 with discounted beer and wine, excellent food deals and a big New Year’s bash. There will be lots of discounts going on throughout the night but expect half price on your second burger purchase, RMB10 off of fried chicken and RMB5 off of all fries and more. There will also be lucky draws and a free toast at midnight. Sounds like a fine way to celebrate New Year’s Eve to us. Note there are limited tickets available so get them will you can!

Multi Time Zone New Year Count Down Party @ Eudora Station

It's not enough to ring in the New Year once. Why not toast to 2017 four times, along with everyone in Sydney, Seoul, Beijing and Bangkok? If you're going to do New Year's, do it right! There will be tons of live music, dancing, shows, food and drink specials and a midnight balloon pop gift.

Sat Dec 31, 8pm-late; Eudora Station

Urban Jungle 2017 Countdown Party

On New Year’s Eve, Atmosphere will transform into a tropical jungle filled with the sounds of DJ Ava’s tribal deep house beats. There will be cool dance performances, epic drink deals and lucky draws. The dress code is “jungle or safari.” So basically anything with leopard print is perfectly acceptable.
