Where to Enjoy a New Year's Feast in Beijing

This month is just flying by. And before we know it it’ll be 2017. We realize a lot of you out there will be skipping town for the holiday. But for those of you sticking around, we figure you’re probably going to want to ring in 2017 by feasting at one of Beijing's great restaurants. There are plenty of special New Year’s Eve dinners and New Year’s Day brunches going on this year. Here are a few of our picks: 

New Year's Eve Dinners

Migas

Migas is going all out for New Year’s Eve. They’ve pulled out all the stops for this year’s special menu, which features wagyu steak tartar rolls, Basque-style shredded crab meat with veggies, and roast lamb tenderloin over chestnut cream and marinated mushroom and lots more.

Red Bowl

Red Bowl will be serving up an array of decadent seafood platters featuring fresh tuna, artic shellfish, Dalian abalone and more. They’ll also have unlimited small plates, vegetables, meats, seafood, tofu, hot pots and noodles. A DJ will kick things off at 6pm.

Casalingo

The talented chefs over at Casalingo will be serving up an impeccable dinner worthy of the big night. The feast will be topped off with free-flow of sparkling, red and white wines, soft drinks and coffee.

The Cut (Fairmont Beijing)

Usher in 2017 with a decadent 7-course New Year’s Eve Dinner at The Cut. Chefs will present diners with seasonal dishes including lobster with scallops and Australian Wagyu beef filet mignon with foie gras.

Top Tapas

Ring in the new year with seafood, caviar and unlimited Perrier-Jouët Champagne at one of Beijing’s newest Spanish restaurants, Top Tapas. The food is great and the view cannot be beat

Sat Dec 31, 6.30pm-2am, RMB2017 per person.

Sureño

Set along the interior of the wonderfully crafted Opposite House, Sureño will serve up a great 5-course dinner for the occasion.

TRB Bites

TRB Bites is hosting a New Year's Eve Dinner, including four courses of great food, a DJ performance and special activities. First seating is from 5.30-7pm and includes a 4-course menu (RMB468 per person). Second seating is from 8pm-midnight and includes a 6-course countdown special menu (RMB688 per person). On New Year's Day guests can enjoy all-day dining at TRB Bites with a 5-course special menu (RMB428 per person, including a glass of bubbly).

New Year's Day Brunches

New Year's Day Brunch @ Mosto

We love brunch and obviously New Year’s Day is a great excuse to go brunching. Mosto will have tons of food with their 3-course set menu, including their signature live oysters, pan-seared sea bass and vanilla bean crème brulee. Oh and there will be lots and lots of bubbly for those who want to imbibe. 

Sun Jan 1, RMB248 for 3 courses, add RMB188 for free-flow wine.

New Year’s Breakfast @ Kranzler's

Kranzler’s will have a whole spread of breakfast delights on New Year’s Day. And of course, there will be free-flow sparkling wine. Hair of the dog and all that. 

Sun Jan 1, 6.-11am; RMB265 per person, RMB1117 for two, including one bottle of Perrier-Jouët Champagne, children aged 6-12 are half price.

Maison FLO

With FLO you can enjoy a perfect French-style New Year's Eve dinner with your friends and family. And you can do it in the comfort of your own home. Make sure to book at least 48 hours in advance and their chef will cook up a fresh and delicious meal just for you.
