Funnyman Mike Ward is known for putting on kickass comedy shows. After all, he was the first-ever comedian to get fined $42,000 by a Canadian court for telling a joke. That’s definitely earned him some street cred. In addition to being a household name in French Canada, the Quebec native has won numerous awards, produced three platinum DVDs and been featured on WTF with Marc Maron, Artie Lange’s Artie Quitter Podcast and the Anthony Cumia Show. Not too shabby. If you’re curious to check Ward out for yourself, he'll will be landing at Fella's on Dec 12 (Monday night).

The year has been many things – good and bad. A more triumphant aspect of the year was the countless events held in remembrance for the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare’s death. There’s just one more yet and it comes courtesy of Chamber orchestra The English Concert. The rare program, titled Shakespeare in Love, features music inspired by the beloved Bard, such as Purcell’s The Fairy Queen – a version of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
