Beijing Seeks Logo Design Proposals for 2022 Olympics

In honor of the one-year anniversary of Beijing winning the bid to co-host the Olympic Games, the city has formally launched a contest to find the logo for the 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympics, China Daily reports. 

The contest was announced by Guo Jinlong, the chairman of the 2022 Games' organizing committee, on Sunday at the Badaling section of the Great Wall. The contest is open to designers around the world. All proposals must be submitted by November 30.

On July 31 2015, Beijing was chosen to co-host the Winter Games along with Zhangjiakou in Hebei province. 

To mark the anniversary, the organizing committee’s website was also launched on Sunday. The site will features news, photos and information about the Winter Games. Chinese, English and French versions are available.
