Apr 27-29: Sound of the Xity

Hosted by Yugong Yishan, Sound of the Xity brings us an eclectic lineup of Chinese and Western artists. Expect something different each night. This year’s festival features a variety of sounds ranging from pop to rock to electronic. And each night of the three-day festival will have a different theme. Tickets cost RMB100 (presale) and RMB120 (door).

Apr 30 - May 2: Strawberry Music Festival

Modern Sky's spring music festival is back at a new location, the 10,000-square-kilometer Grand Epoch City. International headliners include the Prodigy, Disclosure and Modestep, in addition to a strong lineup of Chinese indie and rock artists. Tickets cost RMB300 (one day), RMB610 (three days); RMB240 (one day, presale); RMB519 (three days, presale)

May 13-15: Great Wall Run Festival

The brand new music and sporting event will be held at the Simatai Great Wall and Beijing W Town. The one-of-a-kind event fuses the spirit of a music festival with a five-kilometer race. Headliners include Deorro, Frontliner, Pendulum and Code Black. Tickets cost RMB350 (early bird), RMB450 (early bird package), RMB600 (VIP) and RMB100 for the bus.

May 28: Intro Beijing Electronic Music Festival

China’s largest outdoor electronic music festival will, like Strawberry (above), be held at Xianghe’s Grand Epoch City. Over 10,000 people are expected to attend the EDM bonanza. Headliners include Ken Ishii, Tic&Tac and much more. Tickets cost RMB280 (presale) and RMB380 (door).

Sept 15-16: Storm Festival (Beijing)

The 2016 Budweiser Storm Music Festival is coming to Beijing this year! A number of big name DJs have been announced, including Dash Berlin, Don Diablo, Flo Rida, Hardwell and Kaskadebe.
