Make Christmas decorations with a Chinese twist!

Nobody wants to buy plastic Christmas decorations and contribute to the world’s environmental crisis, right? Small painted gourds make a fantastic natural alternative to plastic baubles, and they carry over to Spring Festival too!

Perfect for kids and adults alike, you’ll learn the many reasons gourds are so auspicious in Chinese culture before getting stuck into painting your gourds!

Parents are welcome to drop their children off (12+) and explore the village or relax in a cafe while the kids paint!
