Sanlitun Taikooli and The Opposite House are pleased to welcome three of Jarre Aerobull’s French bulldogs. Located in the atrium of The Opposite House. Each bulldog embodies an iconic work of art and each is uniquely adorable.
1.
>>>Steam Bulldog<<<
Taking inspiration from anime, the bulldog is a representation of the youth of a simpler time. Inspired by Howl’s Moving Castle and Steam Boy, the bulldog takes on the films’ industrial revolution era charm.
2.
>>>The Great Waves Bulldog<<<
Katsushika Hokusai’s woodblock print The Great Wave off Kanagawa is one of the most recognisable Japanese works of art. The bulldog proudly wears Hokusai waves all over its body. The piece pays tribute to the artistic master and his iconic style.
3.
>>>Pollock Bulldog<<<
Using his body as a canvas the bulldog pays tribute to abstract painting master Jackson Pollock and his unique style known as Abstract Expressionism.
