American writer Mike Tucker visits Beijing’s preeminent literary spot for a reading from his book Chieftain. The reading will be followed by a Q&A and book signing. Tucker’s 17th book is set in the guerrilla war in North China in the late-1930s and is a mercenary saga about justice. The Sunday Times compared the writer to Hemingway for his book Spartacus Did the Right Thing.
